Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 5 May 2025 · Algorab · George Town, Penang, Malaysia
1. Introduction and Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Algorab website at algorabad.pro and participation in Algorab's educational programmes. "Algorab", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the business operating from 24 Lebuh Pantai, 10300 George Town, Penang, Malaysia. "You" and "participant" refer to any individual using our website or enrolled in a programme.
By using this website or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with enrolment or use of the website.
2. Programme Descriptions and Educational Scope
Algorab offers the following educational programmes:
- Foundations Reading Series (RM 510) — A self-paced reading series introducing ideas behind modern AI models, comprising written modules, reflection prompts, and an asynchronous discussion board.
- Hands-On Workshop Series (RM 1,820) — A twelve-week online workshop series with live sessions, group exercises, written assignments, recorded sessions, and a course workbook.
- Mentor-Guided Programme (RM 4,720) — A six-month programme combining course modules with a small-group mentoring track, project feedback, and a final portfolio review.
All programmes are educational in scope. Completion of a programme does not confer a professional qualification, academic degree, or any form of accreditation recognised by a statutory body. Programme content is designed to support learning and exploration, not to replace formal academic or professional training.
Algorab does not make representations about employment outcomes, salary expectations, or career progression resulting from participation in its programmes.
3. Enrolment and Eligibility
Programmes are open to individuals aged 18 and above. To enrol, you must submit an enquiry via our website and complete the enrolment process as directed by our team. Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation from Algorab.
Algorab reserves the right to decline an enrolment application at its discretion, in which case any payment received will be returned in full. Where a programme has a participant cap or a defined cohort schedule, places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis.
4. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). All fees are payable in full prior to programme access unless a written payment arrangement has been agreed with Algorab in advance.
Fees listed on the website are current at the time of display. Algorab reserves the right to adjust fees for future cohorts. A confirmed enrolment will not be subject to fee increases mid-programme.
Payment methods and banking details will be provided at the point of enrolment. Algorab does not store payment card data.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
- Before programme access is granted: Full refund of fees paid.
- Within the first seven (7) days of programme access: Refund of 50% of programme fees, minus any direct costs incurred by Algorab in connection with your enrolment.
- After seven (7) days of programme access: No refund is available, as substantial programme content will have been provided.
If Algorab cancels a programme prior to commencement, a full refund will be issued. Algorab will not be liable for any consequential costs arising from a programme cancellation.
6. Programme Delivery and Changes
Programme schedules, materials, mentors, and session formats are subject to reasonable change. We will communicate any material changes to enrolled participants with reasonable notice.
Live sessions for the Hands-On Workshop Series and Mentor-Guided Programme are conducted online. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and suitable hardware for participation. Session recordings are made available where technically feasible.
Algorab does not guarantee uninterrupted access to online platforms or third-party tools referenced in programme materials, as these are operated by external parties.
7. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to engage with programme activities in a respectful and constructive manner. The following conduct is not permitted:
- Sharing access credentials or programme materials with individuals outside the enrolled cohort.
- Recording live sessions without the prior written consent of Algorab and other participants.
- Using programme channels or discussion boards to distribute commercial communications or unsolicited material.
- Misrepresenting programme content or outcomes in a way that could bring Algorab into disrepute.
Algorab reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if conduct is found to be disruptive or in breach of these Terms. Such decisions will not be taken without prior written notification.
8. Intellectual Property
All written modules, workbooks, slide materials, recorded sessions, and associated content produced by Algorab remain the intellectual property of Algorab. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use programme materials for their own learning during and after the programme period.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly share Algorab materials without prior written permission. Brief personal summaries or notes derived from programme content are not restricted.
Materials submitted by participants in connection with assignments or portfolio reviews remain the intellectual property of the participant. By submitting, you grant Algorab a limited licence to review and provide feedback on those materials for the purposes of programme delivery.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Algorab's total liability to any participant arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the fee paid for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
Algorab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of income or business opportunity, arising from participation in or reliance on any programme content. Programme materials are provided for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as professional, technical, or commercial advice.
10. Privacy and Data
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. By enrolling, you acknowledge and consent to the use of your data as described in that policy.
11. Cookies
Our website uses cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of our use of essential cookies. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage participants to raise concerns with us directly before pursuing formal proceedings.
13. Updates to These Terms
Algorab may update these Terms from time to time. The date shown at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Enrolled participants will be notified of material changes by email. Continued participation in a programme after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
